Again, like joho's site on Bulgarian folklore or something, you used a large background image as a canvas for your site design which cannot go very wrong. Your pictures are well chosen and do not interfere with the ability to read the text and everything is good overall. A more interesting rollover animation to your buttons would be nice, but what the heck, its a minor complaint.
But somehow or rather I find it hard to shower too much praise because "Large background sites" (coined by me) like I said earlier, usually look vibrant and therefore nice. Since your site is currently small, which allows you to keep the number of pictures you use down, loading times are not an issue, so I would say that this site looks good, but is not a testament to your design (sorry man, the photographer should get some credit too).

Well, I like it. It's got style.
My comments would be to put some background music in there since it is about music.

Agree on the music part, a playlist would be nice.
And the site has style because its hard not to have style with any large background picture site design.

Mmm... the initial load time was kind of a putoff for me.
Maybe you should split the site into parts and progressively cache the backgrounds and images on-the-fly rather than letting everything load at once?

A blog should have a simpler design, not a bombastic one that you have right now. Blogs should look minimalist yet elegant. Remember that there is a think line between being minimalist and looking like you didn't put in effort.

R.S. - it's a requirements specification.

In that case, I won't exactly say that your site is simple. Good-looking, yes. But simple, not really, its more of stylistic and elegant than simple.
