Does Flash (8) compress wav files I import?
I guess it does since I imported 10 files at about 100k each and the final swf seems to be 90k.
So I should ask, how can I modify and/or turn this off. The sounds seem a little hollow now.

I can search for weeks and find no answer, but seconds after I post something I find it.
Right click the sound in the library and choose Properties. Change compression there.
Then on the Publish menu click the Flash tab and then half way down is Audio Event. Set it there for universal settings. My 90k file jumped to 2.5 megs.
Sorry for wasting time, maybe someone else can find this useful.

Haha, self revelation.
Anyway remember to change your sound to Stereo, and 2.5MB is a little big for web deployment (which is what Flash was made for), don't you think?

As far as I have tested, the optimal kbps is 48. That way, you do not lose too much sound quality and the file size is drastically reduced. Oh, and make it stereo, there is barely a difference in file size for mono and stereo.

For got to mention this one: Mono's sound quality really sucks, don't ever use it in your life. Anny music played on it just sounds seriously hollow and losses all of its vibe.

What? dDn't take the chance to spam, what does a car stereo have to do with sound quality.
