Ads between posts in the same thread now? And a malfunctioning not clearing quick reply button also?

My, great improvements!

Wondered why you couldn't get the signature issue solved... Now I know!

So even worst!
Not only do you now have an ad between the initial and second posts, but on a several pages thread you also get an ad between the top and second post!

This is grrrrrreat! Félécitations!

Hmm..Not sure how I feel about this myself.

Is this site secretly being sold?

I looked and didn't see anything ... where is that?

You're blind!

There's a banner ad between my first and second posts! With a spacer that says "sponsered links"...

The Quick Reply button doesn't work...

Also get a javascript error on IE...

'require_click' is undefined

That's really none of my bussines how and when the site owners decide to put the ads... But, if I can suggest anything... you know, if you ware using FF, than it's not so difficult to make a plug-in to remove adds from certain pages (meaning, client-side)... so... if that's such an issue... i don't know

Ads are visible as well on FF and Safari, the Quick Reply button seems to work on FF and Safari though!

I wouldn't mind the ads, if the generated revenues were directly transfered to my bank account!

Guess I'm dreaming in color!

Ahuh, sure they are... what I was saying is that you can make a plug-in for FF that would cut off the content you don't want to see, like Google-ads for eg...

Quick reply works... If this thing actually gets posted, that is...

CyanBlue

Yep... Quick reply does work...

Yeah... I think 1 on the top is reasonable, but 2 are abit too much... That's my 2 cents...

Quick Reply doesn't work on IE! You have to click in the Quick Reply window, get rid of the stupid text that's there to clear it out and then post...

Either FF is behind all of this, or Jesse & Strok had invested in Madoff's schemes, and now need new revenues! :o

I'd rather blame it on UFO's recent activity around Papua New Guinea...

Personally, I don't them including ads. I'm not sure how much revenue ads on a forum like this would drive (I don't know many designers/developers who even pay attention to ads). I'd much rather them try some affiliate programs with, say, Amazon.

Most likely enough to maintain one's lifestyle!

What goes up, must come down! AS.org is on it's way!

Actually the ads aren't that bad, I didn't notice it much on first inspection, so what the heck, just relax.

I hope not, this is the best flash community hands down (IMHO). Plus I dont think that is the case at all. Heck if you visit most forums its pretty standard, to me its no big deal. I dont go to websites, blogs, forums to look at ads, so to me they are transparent since I dont really pay attention to them to begin with. Now if things slow down like FK/FM when browsing then that would not be fun.

But again until it was pointed out I was too busy reading threads to notice the ad. Or maybe I was used to it from other forums so it did not stick out.

Somehow or rather, I thought that the ads were always there. :p Maybe I did get used to it on other websites and forums as well.

There are no ads within the threads on Flashkit. I'm not talking about the top, bottom or any surrounding ads, I'm talking about the one presently inserted within each thread, between the first and second post of every page...

Also if I recall correctly, that was somewhat tried 3 years ago, when this site's design was revamped.
It stirred an uproar then!
Guess everybody as mellowed down, as Cota has!

OUCH! Okay, I just saw one of the ads. It appears that they are randomly placed, as I didn't see them till I was looking at some other thread. It really is quite bad when its placed in the middle of two posts. Who did this anyway?

Yeah the web starts to be a big blur, after a few trips around it ;)

Kirupa has ads inline in the threads also. However I beleive they only show for visitors who are not logged in, and once logged in the ads dont show. But maybe they do? Regardless its similar.

PS: I am suprised FlashKit has not instituted ads on the submit button for posting. Hey thats a great idea captive audience, ad at click. I am here by copyrighting and tradmarking that idea this very moment, this forum is my witness. I will make more money than Atomics paypal enterprise :p (just kidding Atomic).

If a I get sufficient funds, maybe I can (learned from you :p) brownnose Jesse into removing them...

As for Simon And Garfunkel, well seems obvious...

No one's (read Admin) listening! :p

I guess you opted to hide your birthday which makes it not listed at the bottom of the main page... Maybe that's why nobody's talking about it???
