styling Alert window in .as file

I've been trying to figure this out for awhile now, and haven't found anywhere an answer. Please tell me there *is* a way to apply a css style to an Alert within an .as file!

I know how to do it in a .mxml file but not in an .as file.

Any ideas or useful links?
