Dear people,
I was wondering if anyone here has any experience on how/if possible to compile AS2 SWFs in Flex ? is it at all possible ?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
have a great weekend.

Not really, unless you want to use Flex 1.5, or whatever the version number was before there was a new AVM.
But there're 2 most popular AS2 compilers - MTASC (Motion Tween Acrion Script Compiler) and FLASC (don't remember exactly, what does the name stand for). So, if you cannot use FlashDevelop, then there was ASDT (Action Script Development Tool) eclipse plugin (free) that was relying on MTASC compiler + (maybe) SWFMill.
So, if you want the free environment for developing AS2, your options:
- FlashDevelop (preffered)
- ASDT (for Mac / XX)
- whatever other code editor like N++ / SEPI / TextMate etc. + MTASC + SWFMill.
- Not free, but also good IDE is FDT eclipse plugin.
