Just popped a happy pill.
I will be on the look out for colourful sites, although don't know if you remember, but in the site check a while back there was a site where the nav was clothes, shirts and stuff moving along on the hanger - very vibrant. I think it was anyway. Very nice too.

exactly....lol
But that was funny POM...and the music helped out a lot.
This is turning out to be a useless thread, if we work a bit harder we can make this the longest/useless site :D .
Anyone with some really nice colourful sites?

its a cheesy pun but you made me think of colors (http://www.benetton.com/colors/) ... It's colourful and I love the way their mag works as well on the screen as it does on the page.
I posted this site some time ago: http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=19177

Yeah, I had seen them, I spent a good 2 hours on the puccaclub and voozclub sites yesterday, they are fantastic.

hey bleeda,
any chance of telling me a little on how the site of jayondrums was done?
'cause I think it might just be worthy enough to fit in coolsites...
friendly greetings,
robin
hi robin
its basically made up like so.....
in the background there is a mc that tweens from 1 colour to another. theplayhead of this clip is determined by the _y position of the clip u pull up and down.
on top of this is a mc that has the bold coloured shapes on it. the _y position of this is again determined by the _y position of the clip u pull up and down.
on top of this is a clip that has all the area titles on it. this is a static clip.
on top of this is a mask which moves up and down to show the titles
on top of this is the bar that you see. it has an area cutout (so the titles show through). the time, date, logo, loader, volume etc are all built into this clip. it detects when the mouse is pressed on this clip and then on mouseMove determines a targetY position for this clip to move to. for example if the mouse position is > 0 && < 20, targetY would be 10. there is then an easing equation which moves all the clips into position.
once within 1 px of targetY all the mc's snap to their final position and the required page _visible is set to true (these are all loaded into levels). as soon as u move again it sets it to false.
hope it makes sense and thanks for the kind comments!
