Hello,

I'm loading variables from a text file into a text form im my flash movie. One of the variables is a number with a % sign.

The problem is the % sign dosen't show up in the text box when I run my flash movie. My guess is flash see's it as code. Is there a way around this problem.

thanks for your help:)

If you wanted 25% your variable would look like this:

&variableName=25%25&

Actualy my variable is :1/2 %

So if I write 1/2%1/2& then I don't get 1/2% I get 1/22.

:(

Stones, binkyboo has provided you with a link. Take a look.

Not the best example to give B I must admit - lol ;)

Ya know you're right Mortimer!:) I would make a horrible teacher.

Try this:

&variable_name=1/2%25&

I apologize for providing you with such an obscure example!

So Stones, did that help? :)

Binkyboo, don't worry about the onion. If I start getting vegetables through the post my girlfriend will leave me!
Hmm, is an onion classed as a vegetable? Somehow that sounds wrong.
...and while I'm at it, do people drink soup or eat soup?
I think I'll ask Darth Lank.....

*wanders off to do just that*

Mortimer,

Ya got me all wrong. The Onion is a satire chronicle (you're probably playing me for a fool and already know this). Check out this link! It's hilarious stuff!!

:p - I know it well

I rather like the idea of a special onion though :D

At first I wasn't so sure. I had to look on the contacts page to check.
...sure enough, offices in Milwaukee. But like I said, I prefer the idea of some special variety of the multi-skinned kind :)

Next time I make a stew, I'll tell everyone it contains Wisconsin onions and see what they say
