Too dark if you ask me. I understand that many of us here have good, solid monitors for use, but that doesn't mean that everyone is the world has a nice bright 400dollar 24inch screen to view your website on. To that end, most of the text in your introductory page is too dark when I tune down my brightness settings, which sort of spoils the "Wow" factor, so that's one thing you have to change.

that was funny I have a 19" CRT and a 17" apple(CRT) display. I will look at trying to get it lighter.

Not lighter, brighter. There is a difference between lightness and brightness when it comes to design ;)

Agreed with the brightness idea. The colours were sometimes clashing with the dark grey background.

Actually instead of increasing the color of the text, you could also decrease the brightness of the bacground, although that will kill out the subtle shades of grey, it gives you the option of preserving your text color, so you can choose which ever method you prefer. :)

Completely readable for me on a 22" lcd. I think the look of the website flows nicely with your style of art. Even your wedding poster has a grunge/dark sort of look. I think it does its job well for a portfolio site.

As in, its completely readable on MY 22" LCD too, but I know that my LCD is a lot brighter than the screens at let's say, my local library, or internet cafe, wherever.
