Greetings,

I thought I would share news of my new web game, Apple Kabopple. I frequent this forum and site often for Flash advice, so thought I should show what I do with all of that great info!

Here's the story on the game:
Meet Torti, the hungry little turtle who just loves apples! Red apples, green apples, she loves them all. Lucky for Torti, the apple tree on the hill grows plenty of apples all year round. All you have to do is help our little turtle catch the apples in her basket as they fall from the tree. But watch out for those rotten apples that fall and scare Torti into her shell!

I really like the graphics style, has an Orisinal feel to it. The music felt a repetitive in that I could tell when the loop happened. I think the game mechanics are simple and it would be easy to kill 5-10minutes playing your game.

On a critique side, after doing a quick glance over your instructions looking at the pictures then starting the game... I thought I was controlling the turtle. Not sure if that's just me, it took a second look at the instructions to see the word click. I thought the apples would become loose or something.

In the later levels does the turtle vary his pace, or how do you manage difficulty? Awesome game! You try getting sponsors?

You got that idea from the game Peggle, didn't you?

Anyway, the art style is fine for the game, though I won't say its unique. Lifely colors make the gaame refreshing but after 10mins, you get the feeling that you are just really playing the same thing over and over again. Add more variety and maybe give the different apples special characteristics.

Other than that, not a bad game, I'll say a 6.5/10:)
On my scale, 6.5 is "above average" so its quite good. Try adding a new twist to the game and it'll be a winner.

Fantastic, smooth, clean, ect. Not particular my type of game, but still good.

You're right Kimchee, tastes in games vary a lot, but if you look at some of the free games out there, you'll learn to appreciate games like these. (As in, compared to other free games which usually suck except the top 20 or so)

Agreed, I am posting games on my site; and I don't necessarily like any of them, but still aim for quality.

This turtle game is good quality, simply yet contains some strategy and skill. Also the art is not good it is great for a flash game. Way to go!

I think the turtle looks sort of cute :p

Anyway, I still don't get the distinction between the apples, is the only difference in the amount of points they give? If so, make it obvious in the game, not everyone who plays will bother to read the instructions.
