Hi,

I’ve been working on a web / Flash game that I’ve designed, refined and created, and I was wondering what people / you thought of it?

I like to think of it as Connect 4 (instead its 5) meets Chess. It’s a strategy board game… “Connect Wars”!

CLICK HERE TO PLAY! (http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/28/703825/connect_wars_054.swf)

I am still in the process of working on the AI for the single player mode, so at the moment the AI only blocks your moves and aims to make basic attack moves if there’s no threat, i.e. the AI doesn’t use the ‘trump’ pieces in this current version, only it’s own suit symbols.

If you do play ‘Connect Wars’ please post a reply letting me know what you think…
I’d really love some constructive feedback. Thanks for playing guys…

I use to play a game similiar to this in Korea, very fun. What are you hoping to do with the game? That will change the kind of feedback I give you...

Nice game, but do post it in the Site Check section for an in depth review. ;)

Also, change the title that the html page you linked to displays, the current title of your swf name looks weird, change it to Connect Wars! or something.

With the "change colours" tile I would win very easily. One time I only got healths and I was desperately trying to get rid of them so maybe I could get a "change colour" instead.

there is a button that will re-deal all your special pieces at random, it's the question mark ??? button above your line of pieces. i know what you mean about the "flip" piece, it is pretty powerfull.

I just played again, and an interesting case came up.

The computer had 4 in a row, and I had 4 in a row, blocked by the computer's piece, plus a flip card. I placed my flip card, giving me 6 in a row, but the computer still won, I guess because his piece was counted before the flip was counted? I guess that keeps the flip card from being too powerful, but it was confusing.

Okay, so I tried the same circumstance again, with two players, and the one that played the flip won. The order is just the result of the tween delay, so the computer only won because it could play the piece faster.
