Howdy, my $0.02

"Flash MX H-O-T Hands-on-Training" by K. Weil pretty much is useless. Thought it was good at the bookstore but I was wrong. I was hanging on her every word until she was scripting buttons and stopped DIRECTLY before scripting by saying that this a topic for another day. I hated it after that 'cause I already knew how to animate, make graphics etc from my experience with Flash 4. Now, if you have never Flash'd before then this *might* be good but I can't really tell.

On the otherhand, I am happy with:

"Actionscripting in Flash MX" by P. Kerman. It's a good book for scripting as the title may suggest. For this I am a Flash newbie but familiar with Java code. I have been eating this one up.

Cheez

It depends on what you want to do, Frankie. Design or code? Or both? Or none?

You want to learn code to build sites (check friends of ed), an AS reference (Colin Mook's book), or some crazy AS effects (FoEd again)?
