Hi everyone
I have recently released a new site and would love to know what the rest of the interweb thinks of it. All of your feedback would be really appreciated.
The site is alteregos.com (http://www.alteregos.com/ama.html)
Thanks everyone

Well, I can tell that you put in a whole lot of effort with the 3D alien and all that, but to me, the site just wasn't great. For one thing, most of your design elements have little to do with the site, what's the relation between the alien and the site? Or what do the differently colored stars in the navigation bar stand for? Nothing I guess, which is the main problem with your site, meaningless design elements.
Also, some people like viewing sites without sound, so explaining the services in sound may not be a good option ;)
Just my two cents.

Thanks for your opinion
The stars are meant to match up with the colour theme on the web pages but some of them don't which i'm going to sort out. The relation between the site and the alien and any of the other characters that you see on the site are that they are characters which you can have and use if you buy the software, so there meant to be examples of what you can do. I am also working on creating some more videos to go into the theatre section which will hopefully show a bit more.
Thanks again hopefully with a bit more feedback from yourself and others i can get the site nailed.

huh.
I don't get you either.
Anyway, you may also want to make it such that users don't have to scroll down too much to get to the bulk of the info of the website. Many people won't bother and for example, I had no idea that your site was providing for a 3D talking alien in the first place!

huh = what? and woah. and how da?
anyways, at first it seems semi professional then all of a suddenly theres a talking orc telling me about your site, lol. I guess I just don't respond well to out of place orcs telling me about a company's products or services.

That was exactly the point I was trying to put across, that it spoils the image and ends up making everything seem so gimmicky and well... dumb. And I thought it was an alien, not an orc?

When I visited the site, there was a normal human talking to me. So I like the random factor added. The navigation system has no visible coding bugs and has a nice feel to it.
There is one thing I would like to point out and that is that your nav bar has a reflection. It's fine for me because I have a huge screen but for those with smaller screens, it may eat up precious screen space.
The colour contrast is also good.

Thanks all for your comments and feedback its really really helpful. The one thing thats shocked me though is how much the orc character has come up.
Thanks all again

I think the main idea here is this: When people visit your site to buy something, they want something solid and reliable, but the talking orc/alien/human just spoils the professionalism, you might want to remove it and play a sound clip with some animations added instead.
