View Full Version : Pixel bender and Shader is on!
please review this new article that introduces to Pixel Bender and Shader.
oh no I had to have my Pixel Bender files on my server since I couldn't upload them here so I added a crossdomain policy file and everything worked perfectly on the preview screen but now I checked again and none of my swf passes the security sandbox anymore even with the corssdomain policy file is it because of security thingy here??
So i checked again today and now it's working again. I hope it's not going to be on and off once published!

Thank you, sire... ;)

Just out of curiosity, did you intentionally use red texts for the scripts??? I am not sure if we should wrap the codes with the AS tag or not...
yes I did intentionally since there's sometimes some problems with html tags being inserted in the code and it takes for ever to go through all html source to remove them. I really hope there won't be any security sandbox problem anymore.

Yeah... For some reason, the way that I can edit the posts have been changed in the CMS, and it was almost impossible for me to edit the code in the post... Not sure why... :(
I have no idea about the sandbox problem though...

Hey both.
Jean, if you are getting HTML tags in your code it's probably because there are paragraph breaks in it. This often happens when you copy and paste from another editor. The simplest solution is to select the code, copy it, paste it into notepad, copy it again, and paste it back into the editor. That always works for me. There is a new version of the CMS with a whole new editor but we don't yet know if it has this same problem... Hopefully not!
CB -- your account shouldn't have changed at all. Is this an ongoing issue with your ability to edit? Maybe there's something I can do to fix it....

Uh... Never mind... I must have been drunken or something... I was not thinking straight... and I am pretty sure my brain is not fixable... :p
I could rework it to include the as tags but I also find the code pretty small to read when I do that, can you guys increase the size a little?

Really? Taking a random tutorial like this one ( http://www.actionscript.org/resources/articles/875/1/Creating-AIR-widgets-using-SPAS-30-and-Flash/Page1.html ) what do you think of the code?
I'm pretty sure we set the font size to be the same as the normal text size, and we original changed that cos people said (ages back) that they liked that size best...
A change isn't so hard but it'd be site-wide cos code blocks are controlled by CSS...
Yes it looks normal on IE but smaller on FF. Maybe it's just my computer settings, you guys checked FF?

Yeah I only use FF and it looks fine to me....

It seems okay to me as well... ;)
All right that's probably my settings then! ;)
I'll get back to the article when I'll have the time and wrap all code up in as tags. (i don't know when I'll be able to do it!)
