Hi Everyone!
I am new to the world of Flash.
I would like to add two type of coloring books to a new site I am creating.

1. The user selects a black and white gif and he/she chooses a color and fills in an area by simplely clicking the closed area (for young kids)

2. The user selects a black and white gif and he/she chooses a color and a brush size and can draw / fill-in freestyle.

I have seen these type of coloring book programs all over the net.
I would like to know if Flash code is available somewhere so I do not have to re-invent the wheel.

Thanks in advance,
Jacob

Well the second is discussed in this thread:
http://www.actionscripts.org/forums/showthread.php3?threadid=906

The old (lots of manual work) for of a coloring book can be seen here: http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Applications/paintbox-Lys_Maru-1755/index.shtml

The Flash 5 version is much easier to do but I've not seen an exmple. Basically you just use setRGB.

Cheers

I looked at both just now!
Great!
The second one is exactly what I need for the clickable
pictures.

The first one looks like a good basis to start on the
drawing one.

THANKS!!!

I want to make one of this paint programs that once the user clors the picture picture can then be attached to a premade movie clik.

Like say the picture was a dog and I color it.. the click a buttonthat says play movie.

When i watch the m ovie it has the dog in it i just colored but its the same colors i just painted it? Anyone know how i can do this or know of a tutorial?
