Web Host domain transfer

Hey guys,

I transferred my website from one host to another. My domain with the original host expired a couple weeks ago but when I transferred to the new host the expiry date isn't until 2010. Now that it's expired with the original host my domain is no longer active.

My question is... should this have happened? Shouldn't my website still be active with the new host?

If the domain expired, then maybe not. Also, check the DNS entries, might still be pointing to the old host.

I think you'll have to inform your new host of the change in domain, and even re-register under certain cases. Not sure though, just a guess that you could try.

You'd still have to contact the web host then, wouldn't you? Doesn't change much.
