Why do my images seem to jump and get slightly distorted somtimes when I animate them? This seems to happen only to images.

N E 1 know why or how to fix it?

Hehe, I just wrote down several ideas but is it possible for your to give us a link to the swf or post the fla here? Could be a lot of things!

Thanks,
Cheez

try resizing your image to 99 %.

this usually does the trick. ;)

I guess just to continue the theme, I usually never alpha tween to 100%. Always a few degrees shy. Kind of big jump there at the end if doing a ascending alpha fade-in, imho ;)

Since this is the newb-pen ;), does vector art resize "better" than bmp? Another way to put it, does something weird happen if you rotate/resize etc bmp over flash-authored art?

See ya,

Goto the BEGINNINGS SECTION and watch the images in the movie. Some of them r slightly distorted at times.

Is it the alpha tween?

just so you know when you go to the soundz section the pause does not work...if you did not know already :D

Are you publishing your flash swf at 100% jpg quality?

Are those frame motion tweens or (someMC._x = var++)? Your scrolling images appears to my eye to have ike 5pixel jumps per movement...anyhow, kind of tied into frame versus script motion.

Cool content ;)

My Jpeg quality is at around 70%. And they are frame motion tweens. Would the script be better?

hi trini, try publishing at 100%. For me it makes a HUGE difference in jpg quality in a swf.

Scripting the movement is probably the sames as frame-tweening. In frame-tweening, even though we don't see it (that's why we like it!), it's probably using myMC._x = difference between start x pos and end x pos
Good luck,
Cheez
