google toolbar, how to?!

does anyone know how you can make an application like the google toolbar for IE for PC?

If you don't know, maybe someone knows where I might get an answer elsewhere.

they are activex objects I think - search google or maybe msdn for activex tutorials

do you know anything about activex? Is it difficult to do(I heard it was like some kind of Java developed by Microschoft)

I don't know too much about them (activeX objects) except that they are m$, to make them you need to write visual basic, and that they can be v powerful, and can do stuff from that little toolbar to whole applications - that's all I know

you can write your activex objects an just about any higher level programming language (c,c++,c#,vb,delphi,java....) the list goes on.
