I was wondering if you guys know of any good clones of www.2advanced.com

Here's one to get started:

Personally I thought that site was a hell of a lot cooler then 2advanced. I have seen a lot of 2a clones. It seems thats all everyone talked about over at the were-here.com forums but those are gone now.

I personally think that both dont come anywhere close to 2advanced. Their eye for detail is unmatched. Personally I thought that http://www.inout.fr/ is rubbish, the line animations at the bottom look really amateur and small details like the circle on the loading page not being smooth just makes the gap larger.

Also, looking at http://www.theprostudio.at/ , I think it is disgusting the way they blatantly copied the whole style and layout; a personal website is one think but a design studio ripping off another like that is disgraceful.

A friend of mine just gave me that list:

http://shockdesigns.tk/ ==Not bad==
http://xtncore.cjb.net/ ==Really not as good==
http://www.radenmedia.com/ ==So so...==
http://www.sas.web.id/# ==From Indonesia :)==
http://www.cnetcomm.com/hardware/indexFlashHardware.html ==Not bad==
http://www.fstudiodesign.ru/fsd.html ==Getting better==

I think the funniest thing is the vocabulary they use. They're all loading modules all the time :D

http://www.pirated-sites.com/ ==Bouquet final==

has there ever been a website that spawned so many clones?

....the brazen theft www.pirated-sites.com constantly turns up is amazing:eek: as.org got rid of those gel buttons ripped from apple.com just in time to avoid hitting the front page;)

check out thier flash site, they tried to get it there but couldn't quite make it. a close but not quite as close as i think they intended.

i had a company ask me to make a site just like 2ad's, i couldn't bring myself to do it, but if they paid me enough, i'm sure their site would be in here as well.

I viewed every site that you guys posted and I cannot believe the amount of knockoffs there are out there. I always wanted to design like 2advanced but looking at these sites makes you feel guilty in trying to.

Well,

to be honest I'm not such a fan of design like 2advanced...
I really like details, and not 'overload of info'...

I don't think a site's succes depends on letting the viewer watch how 50 modules load up in the same instance...

It's just to crowded for me...

the people of 2advanced and theprostudio did really really nice things...

but to be honest I'd wish they were the only ones who did it like that...

go minimalisitic!!

now that I love!

it's as busy as all the rest, but it has a freshness that neither of the abovementioned sites have :)

I know some of you do not like knock offs of 2advanced but you have to admit this one is pretty cool. I tell you, designers from the Orient really put some nice designs together.

hmm...

didn't like the feel of it... but the colors were fine for me...
I love, rephrase, I adore blue and grey, but it's fun to see a clone with different colours...

This is really pitiful. It takes too long to load each individual page.

2advanced and these pathetic clones can't touch this classic.

I dont understand why everyone slams 2A....the fact is they do amazing work. A very talented bunch of guys....Agreed, there are WAY TOO many rips, but hey....its another form of flattery right...When you look at 2A's work, you have to realize the amazing things going on in the code...

Now as far as design, my personal favorites are http://www.24-7media.de I love the look and feel of their sites...I personally draw a lot of inspiration from them...

I won't slam 2A -- great designers/motion graphic artists.

I'm not sure I realize what amazing is going on in the code though... for all the world to me I don't see anything that requires more than basic supplementary actionscript.

24/7 media is great but i wish peope would allow mouse wheel scrolling when there is a scroll bar in their content... it just gets to me.

It's not really about the code. It is their attention to detail that I believe makes their work so great.

Absolutely -- that's my analysis ^_^

2Advanced is a nice site, especially if I want my Web site to act like a video game, however depending on the audience that might not be what is needed. We are building corporate Web sites and those often need to be updatable, scalable and have minimal Flash.
