I've received a few emails from potential employers stating they are unable to view my portfolio. My portfolio is a 3D carousel , so Flash Player 10 is required. Please let me know if you are able to view it ?

Thanks.

Was a touch laggy at first, but works and looks / sounds tight.

Also, it was not 100% obvious how to rotate it at first. I figured it out in like 5 sec but I can imagine my mom (older generation prototype class) taking longer. Maybe add < > buttons.

The first two refreshes of the browser it never advanced passed the loader, but after that everything worked. Flash player 10 here, was there a way to rotate it besides clicking a different box? Also I think it would be good if the image came closer to the screen or was larger in size, some of the images I couldn't tell much of the details.

Hi there, I tested it with Flash player 9 in Firefox 2 and the carousel doesn't show up. Are you using the new 3D properties of CS4?. I think they only work with player 10

Take care

Works for me, Flash 10 in a Linux environment.

Maybe those employers just don't have player 10...:D.

Yes, he said that in his original post.
My portfolio is a 3D carousel
If I were you, I would just get Flash 10. No use missing out on cool stuff like this guy's doohicky. :)

Hey UncleNinja, I do have FP10 and Jrealist's carousel works fine for me. Regarding missing out on 3D without CS4 or FP10, you could "create" 3D carousels of this kind ever since Flash MX with the drawing methods, the support of classes and the development of events. I just didn't read correctly his first post :D.

No offense, sorry! :)
Yes, I agree, you can use the basic stuff. I just export to FP10 a lot because everyone will soon have it anyway. :)

I'm fully able to view it, but one quick comment, the intro sequence where the BG fades from grey to dark grey, that part lags a whole lot, my suggestion would be to use a single colored bitmap with a fade in over the lighter colored background, or if you are already doing so, find a new way to do things, because the lag leaves a bad impression in an otherwise decent site.
