Selling projector files

Hello,

I am selling flash projector files (.exe) for an application of mine. I occasionally get complaints that windows has found a problem with the file due to lack of a digital signature and unknown publisher. My computer gives me to option of running the application anyways. Others report that windows does not give them such option.

Verisign wants 800 per year for code signing for adobe air. Is there a better solution?

Buy an Authenticode certificate (multi-purpose certificate) for signing EXE files and convert it to a format that can be used for signing Adobe AIR files. That's what I did. Thawte has instructions on their site and their support staff can help you with it. Thawte (www.thawte.com) will sell you an Authenticode cert for $299 US I believe.
