I found my girlfreind playing with flash on my 'puter and she said to me " why's it doing that?". I prepared my self for the long and painful explaination, but when I saw what it was doing I was stumped.

She had got a masked fill that animated left to right and that fill was also in a movie clip following a guide path(and rotated). In the root timline the masked fill tween for about 10 frames terminating in a keyframe as usual and then covering another 20 frames JUST as frames. However (and heres the weird bit) when the time line goes over the none tweened frames the fill MC kept right on tweening as if the tween had been repeated in the timeline. what the....??

I opened up a new file and quickly put together those conditions and it did the same thing again!

is this a feature? what is it for? has anybody found this?

I did a (quick) search b4 I posted this and couldnt find anything relating to it. Any clarification would help me sleep at night again:)

note that the MovieClips has an indipendent time line from the _root, so even if it sits in only one frame of the root, it will keep executing its own frames
