EFFECT PANEL IN FLASh MX

I recently switched to flash mx and have problems locating the effect panel...i know this is really dumb...but please help me out.

you mean the alpha, bright, tint, and advanced effects panel? make sure the property window is selected. and you should see it there.

I hav...it never shows up in the propert window...i tried clicking a frame of a motion tween and i looked at the property window...but it never displayed there. Do you hav any suggestions...or maybe I am not looking properly

strange... what is the object that you want to appy the effect to?

text...and images..all i see in the property window are the general optioons. I do see an effect option, that is unclicable and i think it is for sounds

is your text a static or dynamic? if it's the latter one, you can't apply the effect from the panel. if wanted, you need to hand-coded. if it's a static and you want to apply the effect, make it a graphic.

anyway.. still strange that you can't apply the effect to the image. let me check sth.

;) ok. i know y. did you import the image? if so.. make it a graphic and then you can apply the effect.
