USA Map in flex

Hi all,

I want to create a usa map,it just showing the every state,same as http://flashden.net/item/flex-usa-map-component/41735.And when I mouseclick open a popup a show some data from database.

But I am New abount map in flex.How can I proceed?Please advise me,if anyone know about this.

First you either need the:


vector images
have the path coordinates as svg (flex 3) fxg (flex 4) data


Create a mouse click handler which matches them to a country.

Go grab the data from the database.

Create and populate a pop-up.

Thanks Peter.But i am really new about this map.As per the vector image, i already built each state image and together them.And every image hold seperate id.But If you send/provide me the further procedure code then i'll thanks to you.

Optionally ilog elixir 2.0 comes with a tool to do this. It is somewhat expensive though. You could use the watermarked trial to see if it fits your needs (I am not affiliated with iog/ibm in any way).
