Send Email via Flash and PHP

Hi , I was fallowing this tutorial - http://www.actionscript.org/resources/articles/82/1/Send-Email-via-Flash-and-PHP/Page1.html , but at the end , it doesn't send the email , the swf and the php file need to be on a server ? cause my homework is to send an email using flash but locally .... thanks xD

Yes, they have to be on a webserver, or you need to have a webservice running locally. XAMP will allow you to run PHP files locally.

Not really. All other methods require a 3rd party tool of some sort. Not sure of the old fashioned mailto still works, but you could try it. However, its a form, I wouldnt count on it working.
