photo gallery with no xml

Hi, my name is Lim. I'm a newbie in flash. I'm trying to make a photo gallery which consist of button, thumbnail that can be scroll down, and big pic. If the button clicked that the thumbnail with scrollbar will appear. If the thumbnail clicked then the big pic will appear. It all works fine accept one thing. If the big pic appear then if I scroll down the thumbnail then the big pic will also scrolling down. I've already try to convert the big pic into a movieclip and so on. But nothing works.
Anybody can help me out?

hi, im a nwbie too, but i think i have just done something similar to what your after, so for what its worth here's my 'help' ;P

it may give you something to try while the real help and experts come along to help you properly!

put all your big pics in a movie clip (bigpics_mc example name)
a different big pic on each frame on the time line. label the frames ie. pic1 , pic2 ,pic3 ... and so on.
then use your buttons on your thumbnails movie clip to control which frame bigpic_mc is displaying.
so if you click on thumbnail button 3 in your thumbnails mc, it will tell bigpic_mc to display pic3 frame.
sorry if im making things complicated. i couldnt open your .fla, different version to mine, or it would have been easier to explain.

Hi oktoberstorms. I already try your method but...do no good.
I'm using Flash CS4 with flash player 8.0 with actionscript 2.0. I attach a new file so maybe if you guys want to help me out can view the swf.
Anyone can help me out?
