.fla files created on a pc - can they be opened and worked on by a mac user running flash?

Yes... I had to transfer data back and forth a couple of times, and I didn't have much problem yet... Just different fonts was the only problem though...

Just make sure your filenames always have extensions at the end when they come from the Mac like PC files do (.fla, .swf, etc.).

Macs dont need those extensions, but PCs can't understand what kind of file it is without them. A new file created on the mac, won't have an extension, even if you save it as an FLA, so you need to type .fla at the end of your filename as well. Then a PC can understand it.
