RTMP helping

Hello, I have red5 installed on my computer.

the rtmp:// adress is apparently meant to be my external IP

eg: rmpt://1.1.1.1/webapp

anyway it isn't working for some reason (i use my own external IP of course) and i heard that using a wireless router might affect this??

so i need a solution to this problem... also because i don't understand too much a live chat COULD be hhelpful too.

rtmp://my-ip-adress/application is correct
and should work, I presume you have a wireless router installed so have you setup port fowarding on your router? you will need to forward at least port 1935 to your machine running red5 , also check your firewall isnt blocking port 1935
