in an intro flash CS3 class....

and we are building site completely in flash for final project. my index page has images with "welcome" movie clip (contained in one frame) on top. when i click over to the other pages, the images and welcome movie clip are still lingering behind the page frame. my teacher suggested i make a preloader for the images and welcome movie clip so that wen you click over to the other pages, the images and welcome movie clip unload.

i do know how to make a preloader with the progress bar and dynamic text box etc, but NO CLUE how to even START this image loader. and he gave me no leads. Could anyone help get me in the right direction for this project? i don't know how to even search for this in the forums.

Hi,

Are you using actionscript in this class? AS2 or AS3?
If a preloader is what you want, there are dozens of discussions covering it on these forums, just search for 'as2 preloader' or 'as3 preloader'.

It sounds like it would be easier just to hide the frames using actionscript, or more of a hack, add a blank, single color layer to block out the content in the last frame of the welcome movieclip.
