how to work pixel perfect?

i'm trying to be consistent with line distances, grid etc.
how do you go on about that in flash? rulers? set up to snap to grid?type in the x/y value by hand? snap to pixel clearly doesn't work for me. if it's at 52.3 and you snap it to pixel it's at 53.3.
in photoshop you measure the distances with your marquee tool and check the info...
any tips for flash?

hi sassy, welcome aBoard :)
to be sure, the best thing you can do is set the x and y to a whole pixel nr in the properties panel. when you drag it later on it will remain on whole pixelnrs.
if you set snap2pixel on, you can only move it by complete pixels
