Using Flash CS4 to Publish for Flash Player 9

I'm using Flash CS4 to publish a swf. I need it to to be compatible with both flash player 9 and 10. In Publish Settings, I've chosen Flash Player 9 from the Player drop-down list. There is actionscript 3.0 code in this swf.

Image 1 is how it should look (picture taken using flash player 10). What's going on in the second picture (using flash player 9)? Now my image is all scrunched up in the corner.

Similarly,
Image 3 is how it should look (picture taken using flash player 10). What's going on in the fourth picture (using flash player 9)? My image is no longer top centered, my label isn't as wide as my picture, and my buttons have no skins.

I fixed this issue by removing the wmode = transparent params from my object/embed tag.

Don't know why it fixed it, but glad it did!
