help publishing a .fla/.swf file to a html page!

I'm using flash professional cs3 and i'm having trouble publishing my flash website to a html site and having it centered? I've tried publishing it and editting the html file in notepad and adding<center>......</center> but when I do that, my blog page (which everything is imported from a .txt file) stops scrolling down? PLEASE HELP!!!:confused:

it works perfectly fine before i center it and if i remove the tags, but once it's centered, it stops scrolling.

I've also tried to insert it into a html file in dreamweaver cs3 but when i open it in firefox nothing shows up...
