POSITION SUMMARY
Research In Motion is currently seeking a Flash Developer to join the Multimedia team. The Flash Developer is part of the team responsible for working with the support organization's business units to identify, organize, create and manage intellectual online assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicants responsibilities will include:
•The development of interactive web and computer based training
•Assisting with the development of web applications
•Working closely with content writers to produce online courseware
•Compiling web based materials for translation and integration of localized files
•Assisting Graphic Designers with the creation of web pages and web programming
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•Post Secondary education in Web Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•2-5 years experience in a Flash development role
•Portfolio of work containing samples of web development
•Proficiency in Flash, Dreamweaver; Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
•Experience with ActionScript 2, ActionScript 3, PHP, CSS, HTML, XML
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Outlook
•Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work effectively as part of a team, or independently
•Detail oriented, ensuring accuracy of information, objectivity and advanced research capabilities
•Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, challenging and multi-tasking environment
•Customer Service oriented
•Creative problem solver
•Exceptional organization skills
ADDITIONAL ASSETS•Knowledge of the Project Management Life Cycle
•Experience with Learning Management Systems and web server technology
•Experience creating web material which is SCORM/AICC compliant
•Experience with Java programming
•Experience with Air and Flex
