I will need to make a flash projector the smallest size possible as it must be e-mailed to many recipients. It will be a interactive game built using flash (not built yet!) But I am just investigating how small we can make the file.

I have noticed that when you create a windows exe from a BLANK flash file, the exe still seems to be 369KB in size. Why is this? What can be removed to make it smaller?

We will not require the top bar, eg file, view, etc and I have found a program on the flashkit site that shows you how to remove this, however the exe is still the same size as before.

Can anyone enlighten me on this rather than ways on optimizing files as we will do this when we create the flash. We need to know how to remove certain files that flash automatically includes when you create an exe. Apparently this is possible!

Find out if your recipients have the flash player installed. As said above, flash projectors contain the player itself. Depends what kind of a relationship you have with the people receiving. Find a good Flash 5 site and ask them if they can view it on their computer (obvious, I know but I wanted to help).
