Hi there,

I've got a question concerning the linkage of files from a flash file.
Basicaly what I want to do is open files, like .html, executables and .swf, from a projector. This will all be local ( obvious since it'e a projector). I know this is possible on a PC ( I believe with some undocumented FS command), does somebody know if this is possible on MAC??? And off course how?

tnx in advance

It's documented here http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/fscommand_projectors.htm . You can use the methods shown in Tutorials 18 and 19 in the Beginners section also but they aren't supported in Flash MX or the later versions of the Flash 5 player for security resons.

The most headacheless thing to do is to load .swfs into projector, open .html files with getURL, and executables (PC) and applications (MAC) with fscommand "exec" (they should be in fscommand folder if it's MX projector). As I told you on FlashKit, if you want more from Mac projector, you should use applescript. Search (http://www.flashkit.com/board/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=218853&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) on Macintosh forum there could be helpful.

For more about Flash projectors on both platforms check this:

Hope this helps...
