Hey guys! I apologize if this is in the wrong section. It is a flash / as3 project.

I have a client that wants a flash application and it's a little out of my league. Also, I have too many other projects at the same time. I have a good budget so I hope that someone sees it as a good project. The deadline for this is in about 4 weeks so I need to move fast.

I can get a more detailed scope of the project. But here is the basic overview.

It involves a wb-based drawing application. Basically the user has a shape tool, line tool, hand tool, text tool, erase tool, zoom tool, move tool, and maybe a few others.

The most important thing about the tools is the way the Line tool is setup. They want it similar to the line tool in illustrator except it doesnt have the bezier curves. They want to be able to draw straight lines with points as vertices that can be moved with the move tool to adjust the lines.

Furthermore, they want it to be able to be saved like a game where you have multiple "save slots" for that computer. So it would probably use SharedObjects. So when the user returns, the can edit a drawing where they left off.

Also, they want to be able to export JPGs. You can do this using the as3corelib JPG encoder.

This project must be developed using flash, not flex. We have a lot of other things to add to the project. I will have the full scope in the next few days.

PM me if you are interested with any info I can use to determine that you are able to do this project: examples, resume info, websites, company names, or whatever. After I get the full scope, I will email people asking for quotes.

If any of you ADMIN gurus that have tons of tutorials and such are interested, let me know as well. I just want to make sure that whoever does the project can get it done within the deadline.

Thanks guys! I hope this isn't an inappropriate post :)

Maybe people were waiting to hear more about the project since you mentioned that you'd have a full scope in the next few days???

I think you low balled the budget if you ask me... But that could be just me... ;)

Thanks for the reply!

I want you to know that I've read a lot of your posts and have learned a lot from you and your expertise :)

On the full scope of work. I was hoping to be able to not make that public on the internet and maybe send it to just those that have an interest in quoting the project.

I can bump the budget if need be.

If you are interested CyanBlue, please let me know. It would take a lot off my shoulders to be able to get some help with this.

If nothing else, maybe I could just contract someone to help me with Chunks of it?

Thanks!

Glad to hear that I can be of some help to some people... :)

Totally understandable on the scope issue... But I mentioned that because I thought that probably was the reason why you weren't getting any response, or it just was the case where everybody is busy with what they are doing...

I think it's good decision if you could bump up the budget abit... $2000 for any decent programmer means somewhere around 40 or less hour if that person is in the US and your project probably take whole lot longer than that...

I'd love to help you on the project and make some money while I do, but I am totally booked at the moment... Heck, I don't even have time to fix my site... It's been broken for more than a couple months already... Hope you get the right person soon though... and find more sites where you can get words out... :)

Yeah I could take on this but I'm overbooked right now for at least one full month. However the project is interesting. I could maybe be of some help writing a class here and there for you. Let me know.

Thanks for the reply!

I will be out of town until Friday. When I get back I will see where everything is at and spend the weekend planning out how I'm going to go about this and see who all is interested.

Thanks a bunch!
