get position relative to stage?

Hi!
I have a movieclip thats inside another movieclip..lets call them mc1 and mc2..

the problem is that I want to get the position of mc2 relative to the stage...and not to mc1..is there any simple way to do this?

DisplayObject.localToGlobal( pnt:Point ):Point

DisplayObject.globalToLocal( pnt:Point ):Point

It transforms a Point object with respect to the DisplayObject to the stage (localToGlobal), or from the stage to locally (globalToLocal)
