Hey everyone,

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit version. Everytime I try to debug a standalone app. in Flex, it is trying to open in the wrong application.

I have tried setting SWF files to always open with the debug version of Flash player, but it seems to be trying to open with whatever the default selected program in the "Open With" dialog is instead.

I have also gone into the registry and changed settings in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\FileExts\.swf

I can get it to work for a while, but it always seems to default back to the non-debug version after a while...maybe something to do with Adobe Flash CS4??

Is there a Flex setting somewhere I'm missing?

Appreciate any help

Just in case anyone else ever has this problem...

It is caused by Flash CS4 setting the association for .swf everytime you open it.

I fixed it by going into regedit, and setting the association to read only.
