Hi!

I'm trying to make Flash open VLC (a media player) using a .bat file. I've got that working, and I got it playing a file too by manually writing a parameter in the .bat file. But here's the thing: I want Flash to send the parameter to the .bat. And after what I've been reading for the last 2 hours, that is not possible since Flash 5.

Soo... I was thinking of writing a temporary .bat file, launching it and then deleting it again. Is there any way of accomplishing this? Maybe anyone has another smart workaround?

You've traded the problem of how to get data out of Flash via fscommand for the problem of how to get data out of Flash by writing to a file. Neither one is going to work. You're going to have to get some outside help, most likely from a third part swf2exe tool. There are some free ones out there but the better ones are going to cost you a couple of bucks.
