Did i miss some preference setting?? somewhere..?

using flash 4 it was easy for me to edit multiple frames..i just lock all the other layers..select multiple edit frame.onion all...select all..and drag/resize to desire location....

now that i try that in flash 5..doesnt work the same way...only part of my stuff is moved..

also i need to create the same keyframe in 10 frames...in flash 4 i just hilight the desire frame number and click insert keyframe...

in flash 5.. i did the same..but it only insert the keyframe at the last frame of my selected frame set..

These are very simple question .. i know... so i was wondering where did i go wrong ?

thx

I had the same problem with multiple frames in flash five...
if you want to move an object in every frame, click on the select all frames button and be sure the brackets above the timeline span all the frames you desire...
then you have to go Ctrl+A or go up to Edit>Select All (don't ask me why, clearly if you choose edit all scenes, you're not trying to move just an object in one frame around). This should solve your first problem, unless you have several objects in the scene, in which case I'd recommend the lock layer option for all you want to remain deselected...
As far as your second problem goes, sorry, all I can tell you is I would copy the frame and paste it over again (the good news is, if your smart you'll only have to copy frames four times rather than ten: copy the original, then both it and it's new twin, then the four and then two more). However, I'm still newbie too, so wait for Jesse to weigh in on this one!

If you have a frame with a graphic or object in it and you want to duplicate that keyframe at the next frame, you just select the orriginal frame and press F6. Flash automatically makes the next frame a key frame. In fact if you hold it down you get a billion duplicates in no time flat :)

This what you were after?
