Well, it's a nice site, but the intro reminds me A LOT of an open source intro from Flashkit, and their menu is exactly the elastic menu from ultrashock... It's too bad because they seem to be good :(

this is a slightly old site, a couple of years(i think), a buddy showed me it over a year ago, and then i saw it on a forum some were getting a bad rap for some reason. all i know is that some one put some time into it. and when i saw it, i liked it.

I don't know if you can rip off open source (probably not), but that's how I feel when I saw their site. And as I said, it's really too bad because they seem to be quite competent with Flash, so they could have come up with something more original...

Just my 2 Eurocents.

same goes with what pom said about the introduction - i think I looked at that tutorial the other day.

but the rest of it is really good. Best cool site I've seen so far.

thanx

pom -- do you remember the name of the intro? I'd like to try something like that. I did see the menu at Ultrashock a few months ago. But I know I saw it on the site before Ultrashock. I'm not sure who had it first.

And concerning the intro, check out this page: http://www.flashkit.com/search.php?term=sun&cat=movies&version=--&per=10&field=Contact_Name&orderby=Rating&andor=or&page=1&submit=Submit, anything done by Sun Yizhi.

Okay I change my vote! They stole it all. Wow what a shock, I really liked that site and always kind of used it for inspiration, in a way.

If you want to try out some of WideGroup's Flash work for yourself, they've written a chapter in the Flash MX Most Wanted (http://www.friendsofed.com/books/most_wanted/flash_mx/index.html) book on the intro they designed for mir-corp (http://www.mir-corp.com/web/). The FLAs, audio etc. for the intro come with it too.

All right, sorry about that, my bad :( I guess my judgement was clouded by the menu, but after all maybe they are the ones who submitted the source to Ultrashock  If it's the case, I'll just hide in my cave with a bag on the head.

Thanks for the input, scripter :)
