View Full Version : Any advice on a good book??
Hello everyone,
I would appreciate very much, if you could advise me for a good book, about actionscript for Flash MX.
Although I am using Flash for a while, I am a total beginner with actionscript.
I am looking for a book that it will help me aquire a solid foundation.
Thank you!

there are some good book reviews in the books section here...I know everyone says this but really the *best* is ActionScript: the Definitive Guide - ideal for a beginner but will take you to infinity and beyond! ;) you'd never regret buying that but there are lots of good uns - have a read of some of the reviews.....

I've just bought "ActionScript for Fun & Games" by Gary Rosenzweig. I've no programming experience of any kind except a little html coding, and i've only read the first chapter so far, but it's the first book i've found that attempts to explain the syntax.
What's more it appears to have been proof read before it was published. The example files on the cd even work!!!
Can u believe that?
