is there any way to create a soft edge mask? When i soften the edges of a shape, the softened edges dont affect the mask. If not is there a workaround that anyone knows?
Thanks

wow this is old, i didnt know waht it was at first when i saw it. Was like did i post that this week? :)
i think i did do a search but wanted to know if mx had added that ability when i posted, hence why search didnt work.
It is one of the many things that should have been added to mx2004 that wasnt. I'm sure it'll be available next year for another $600 upgrade...

You could have separate masks with separate masked layers (each of the same image only with different alpha values for their colours) like I used to put at the bottom of one of my games but that's far too fiddly and ultimately pointless.
