To better understand my question on masking..if you could go to www.triple5soul.com On the menu to the left, select "Define your soul" section..second from the top.
With in this section if you scroll to the right..there's some interesting maskings of objects in the foreground.
My main focus is the silhouetted objects in the forground
In order to duplicate silhouettes/masks like this, Where should I begin?..Photoshop or Flash. What might be the best tools/way to do the job?.
Thanks

What I'd like to achieve is to silhouette a picture in Flash. Like the pictures in the foreground at triple5soul-define your soul section..exp, you can see threw the hole of the crown like object straight to the bkgrd...also if you scroll to the right ,you can see threw each spiral in the the headphone cord straight to the bkgrd.
I'd like to know how this silhouette technique is done?-
I know in photoshop you use the "eraser" "magicwand" or "magnatic lasso" tools to silhouette and object.
In flash when you bring a silhouetted object in via import or copy/paste it always has a whitebackground to it..nolonger making that object a silhouette.
Thank Farafiro, and anyone else you helps!!!!

What if you load it in as a .gif ? You can select a color as 'transparent' and then Flash / explorer won't show that color, but that whats laying underneath. I believe you can also do this with .png files, but I'm not sure here (besides, I had some weird thing that all the colors overburned, but that might just have been the video card of the machine I was working on :) )
btw. If you see something in your post you want to correct, you can just press the 'edit' button under it to make changes to your post. No need for a new reply to correct grammar / spelling etc. ;)
