sharedObject from standalone

Hi there,
I tried the SharedObject thing to save user information because I need it for a simple cd rom game project. It works fine from a browser but there's no way I can get it to work from a projector.
Does anyone know why?

did you ever get an answer to that question? I have the same issue and also want to know if multiple standalone swfs can read the same shared O. over a server, or at least read their own unique shared O's over the server.
