Hello, I'm fairly new to Flash MX but can at least put sound files into a movie. The trouble is when I play the files in the movie they click constantly. I have also noticed this on more 'proffessional' sites in Flash. Is there any way to overcome this?
Thanks,
DavidG

Howdy and Welcome... :)
How did you import the sound file into Flash???
What kind of sound file is it??? MP3??? WAV???
Do you hear that clicking sound when you play the sound file alone in, say, WinAmp or Media Player???

It was a .wav file which I recorded on my PC and imported into the library then dragged onto the stage. When played on winamp there is no clicking.

Hm... Not sure... I know that there were a couple of things that needs to be fixed regardin the Sound object in Flash, but I don't remember the list of it... Can you put up the sample and upload it so that I can take a look at it??? ;)

Thanks for you help, CyanBlue. Unfortunately I canned the files as I thought they were probably at fault. Plus, my speakers have just kicked the bucket as well:mad: and so I can't record any new files just yet. When I get things up and running again, I'll put a sample up for you to listen to, if the problem reoccurs. It could be a sound card matter to perhaps.
Cheers for now,
DavidG

Well... Let me know next time when you get the similar thing happening... ;) (Not that I hope to hear that problem again though...)

for me...it was due to the speakers.
my speakers couldn't handle the sound card.
:(
I need to buy some speakers anyways...since the ones I'm using are not mine. :D
