That button came about originally because there was a prolonged period of high site growth (escalating costs - like a new server setup fee) during which we were paying a fortune for hosting and getting little back in decreased advertising revenues. It was just a short term messure. We removed it a while back, but thanks for the thought Billy :)

oh ok - so the site is paying for itself?
Jesse

At the moment yes. I spent a full week searching out and talking to possible advertisers last year and some of them have come back to us with offers, so it's going well now.

excellent :)
so does the revenue you make depend on the number of clicks on banners you get?

Can I have my money back?
Yours hopefully,

Billy - Not really. Advertisers nowadays are interested in cost-per-lead/sale not cost-per-click so if we get heaps of clicks which don't turn into sales, they don't look upon us any more favorably.
Mort - Serious? Prolly.

well I for one have learnt everything I know about Flash from this web site - the measly amount I've donated is a small price to pay
maybe you should have a competetion where whoever has the third highest number of posts by the end of the day gets Mort's money? ;)

Mort - I guessed as much but you can never tell ;)
Hehe third highest for any particular reason Billy? I can't believe how quick Faffy has caught up to me. At this rate he'll overtake me in no time!

Nice try Billy T. You have the cunning of a ninja!
Jesse you guessed right (*smiles*).
I say stuff like that all the time but I never mean it. Besides if I was that type of person I prolly wouldn't have given any dosh in the first place - I would have spent it on beer and cheap hookers (yay for beer and cheap hookers!) ..... I didn't mean that either

Doubt it, in the interests of fairness and cultural exchange don't you think that means Vile would have to get a nice smart jangly Morris Man outfit and do a little jig while slapping his ankles and smacking those sticks together? He'd need a beard of the very immensely bushy birdsnest variety too. He's going to be sooo ecstatic.

Ah Pink ! Be sure to set up a web cam, can you ? Please :) ? Future generations deserve to see that too ! *It's Actionscript Irish Jig Man !*

*just looked at Pink's current avatar and noticed how much she looks like a cheerleader* I bet there were pompoms in your hand when that pic was taken, but you cunningly cropped them out!

Imagine if some major catastrophe wiped out nearly all of humanity, and the only thing that survived, to remind future generations of our civilization, was footage of Vile doing a morris-dance. It is for this reason alone that I must forbid it!
