It is your portfoilio so why do I have to select portfolio to get to it?
Select one of the links, takes you to the required page and then there is no option to go anywhere else. The back button takes you back to the home page which requires a further click to return to the list of work.
I am not knocking your work but the navigation between pages is just confusing.

In addition - putting a 'mailto' on your site is just inviting Mr Spam to send you offers you cannot refuse.

i think your confused with how to use lightbox, to exit the preview you just simply click outside of the box... :)

You asked for your site to be critiqued.
I am an experienced programmer / web designer and found your navigation to be awkward so pointed that out.
Would your target audience have heard of Light Box and be fully up to speed with how it works if so, that's fine but your index page is still un-necessary.

i see your point, if you look at my portfolio however you will see im in the middle of redesigning my website, so i will bear that in mind :)
