I know it's been a while... :(

It seems like I don't have an option to create a draft article... If I create an article and save it, it just goes live... Maybe it is a bug... I also am not able to edit my profile at all... Me don't really likie that black square avatar of mine... :(

Anyways, it is here... Please feel free to edit/update it... Thanks... :)

Hey mate,

Man ,this had me baffled for a few minutes!

Firstly, I think your account had an issue. Try editting it now -- it should work fine.

Secondly, your avatar was correct... I downloaded your forums one and uploaded it again, and it remained a black box. It was doing my head in. Then I realized it's got transparency and our CSS makes the background of the author avatar BLACK, so it looks like it's just a black square. I've screen-capped your avatar and uploaded in place of the one you had.

You should be able to save a Draft via the Advance Options tab in the Create Article pane. See the Status drop down. I can create drafts... But I think you're sufficiently experienced with the site to approve your own articles without them needing editting :)

And article looks good. Thanks muchly :)

I guess I don't know how to edit my profile... The only way I can see the word 'edit' is when I do Users > View Users where I see the list of 4 moderators... I do see 'edit' under the Action column, but that one and any other actions are not clickable... :(
Maybe I should use another link to log in as an author or something???

Oh, I do see the Status drop down... :)

Whoops. I hadn't granted your user group the right to edit yourselves :)

Try now :)

Awesome... ;)

Now back to something that's related to the topic... I see a pending article from Maria Holland which seems to be done... Any idea what to do with that???

I allow those sorts of advertisement type articles so long as they are posted in the Third Party section. That one wasn't but I moved it and approved.

Sorry for not being clear on that... No, I wasn't asking if it was a spam or not... I knew that you allow such articles, but I wasn't sure if that one was just waiting for an approval or even till I post a review or if she wasn't aware whether she should let us know that the article is ready so that we can approve it... That's all... ;)

Ah I see. I hadn't seen a notification about it on the forums. Nor had I seen notifications about some of the others awaiting approval.

A while ago I edited the home page of the content creation pages to remind people what the full process was. Other than that, I can't think of another way to remind authors about the process... Maybe we can change the email that goes out to new authors...

I'll talk to Strok about it.
