letting the viewers see the onion skinning

In Flash MX I just learned Onion Skinning, but how do you make it so that the viewers can see the onion skinning through the scene because I need it for a slow motion Matrix effect in my movie. Any help would be great.

Search for duplicateMovieClip, or mouse trails... Onion skinning doesn't stay visible in the published file, it's simply for reference.
