Hey there,

i need a good way to export swf to video, prefareable (.flv, .mov)
When i use Flash standart export movie method (export to .mov)
i get a 450 Mbyte file from my 2,5 Mbyte swf. Thats too much!.
I need it to be about 10-25 Mbyte.

In my .swf there is allready a .flv with sound and some more timeline animation I added. I allready tried to import the .swf to After Effects and re-export it
from there to .flv but importing the .swf results into an empty timeline with 0 frames.

any idea?...thanks in advance

just convert your .mov to something else.

The initial video output with no compression is going to be huge.
I recently completed a project like this, and the initial video output was close to 2GB!
Compressed in FLV format, the video file was reduced to ~ 5MB.

And howto select flv compression during export? I canīt see any option for this here. I am using Flash CS 4. In my Quicktime Export Settings i can only chose type of compression to mpeg or PNG for e.g...

Yeah it toooooo big in raw export.

Export the swf as Quicktime; use animation compressor, which is basically no compression.
Open the uncompressed .mov in Adobe Media Encoder; transcode it to FLV.

That's what I said!

I guess it isn't sinking in.
I figured this out on my own in about 10 minutes with a deadline looming.
It ain't rocket science. (although the specifics of getting a really good result will require some experimentation and intuition)
